What have I been up to?

Nothing much. I did do something somewhat exciting on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday though, which was great. I realised I have been shopping way much more these days mainly because I just feel like it. I usually don't enjoy shopping because I get distressed by salesgirls who follow me everywhere and start telling me the prices of whatever I touch. I really don't mind the genuinely helpful/friendly ones because nice people are so wonderful to meet but it gets my goat when salesgirls or men or she-men start to eye me suspiciously/trail me like I'm going to nick something. In which I don't have the guts or the low morale to do so.
So last week I went out with the ever so lovely Nadya . When I was waiting for her at cck, there were these promoters who were literally pouncing on people. This really passionate dude in a grey shirt was going around saying things like "Take it! It's free! It's a free dessert why won't you take it!!?" while thrusting some papers in a stranger's face. Not weird at all. Their presence was quite unsettling because I wasn't up for dessert, free or not. So i tried to blend in with the barricade in an attempt to be invisible. It didn't work because Nadya found me quite easily a few minutes later.
We went ahead to window shop/shop but there really isn't much at Lot One. We bought matching earpieces (yay!) and kind of matching notebooks at this really cute stationery place called The Paper Stone. She got the pink and I got the blue. I figured I don't really use the school handbook anyway because its just not my kind of thing. So i'd rather write in something I find pretty. Ok what am I rambling about..
After that, we decided to get chewy junior because we both skipped that part in the morning where people have breakfast. I have such a crap appetite in the mornings. But the caramel fudge chewy junior made up for it,it was so yummy! Later on, we met up with Arina R (yay!) and travelled all the way to Junction 10 for donuts. Or in me and Nadya's case, beverages. Arina spent the whole time complaining about how slow the LRT was HAHA. In her defence, the LRT really is the slowest form of transport in Singapore. Junction 10 happens to be the most un-happening mall in Singapore. Its so quiet and unoccupied... Then a while later Arina got hungry for chicken so we travelled back to Lot One by bus (its faster than the LRT) to have KFC. So this kind of was an eating trip haha. It was fun nonetheless:) My 'eating trip' was further extended when I ended up having Nandos for dinner and glazed donut + chocomint frappe for dessert. Hardcore.
A day before that, I went to Vivo to buy some clothes from Uniqlo. My sister spent most of the time thanking the salespeople when they shouted 'Welcome To Uniqlo'. Now you know... 'weird' runs in the family. Then on Tuesday we went out with R and the gang to East Coast where we did the usual Beach-y stuff. Cycled to the jetty, ate apples on those water breaker/barrier things, made ugly sand'castles' and ate chips on the mat. We later went to Little India for dinner where I had the best cheese naan ever. All in all I enjoyed myself, it was a much needed change from my usual routine where I mope around my room waiting to get in the mood to study. Oh yeah. The joys of being a student.

So,here's a post about my holiday. Which was, i guess decent. In a way that it started off awesomely but ended horribly. No explanations required. Anyway, this is one of those very few posts where I shut up and let the photos do the talking (albeit with some captions here and there). So hopefully you don't get too bored. If you hate things like greenery, tea, flowers and horses... i think you should find something interesting to do before you fall asleep and slobber all over your keyboard.
Cameron Highlands
Parkland apartments-really massive place. Each apartment has three rooms and framed pictures of horses. I like.
Weather was chilly- 19 degrees max. Coldest was about 16 degrees. Which is freezing by my standards. So everyone had hideous looking gloves.
We walked about 100m up a tea plantation to get to the verandah-that hanging place thingy for cakes and tea/cocoa. Well worth the hike!
I have no idea what face this is...
Strawberry cake which was okay but way too creamy.
The following pictures are of my brothers doing some ridiculous butt-shaking dance.
Then we had a walk to burn off the fat.
That's actually a dying butterfly that was having a really weird seizure or something. I managed to catch this picture before it flopped onto the ground and continued having a fit. This photo is a paradox- a pretty(dying) butterfly on my brother's butt-ugly glove.
Strawberry picking! My siblings did the picking, I did the photo taking. It was a very berry holiday- we even sampled wild blackberries from this kindly gardener man.
Strawberry flowers are quite pretty...
Had a strawberry popsicle by the carp fish pond!
And a goat i spotted. Really really wanted to go and pat it but it was starting to rain cats and dogs. And goats.
Ice cream.AGAIN. After that we went to the rose centre and here's the part where it gets really flowery.
And cactus-ey.
And thorny...
Port Dickson
We spent our last two days at a place called Eagle Ranch and decided that hotels were too mainstream so here's where we stayed.
In case you're feeling confused, this is a 'bandwagon'. It's cool though.
We had connecting rooms.
This is my brother pretending to throw a quiet tantrum while we flashed lazers around him. That's what you get out of boredom. He was a good subject anyway..
Shoddy attempts at light photography HAHA.Tried to draw a heart which ended up looking like a disfigured arse.
The only thing my sister and I purchased throughout the whole trip.
A pony which was deceived into thinking I had food. It went away looking disappointed.
I managed to experience horseriding hahaha. The last time I went, I was five years old and hated the whole experience. Went on this huge horse which I felt was going to throw me off. Must be exhausting being a horse. I also attempted go-karting upon my mother's "You will regret"threats. I totally get the whole living for the moment thing but I have this innate fear of driving anything. I have recurring nightmares of me driving a car for some reason and crashing into a trailer. Really really didn't want to go on one of those things. PEOPLE DIE. And i was so scared and nervous I pressed the engine fully on my first round and went on maximum speed, almost killed myself, got scolded by the dude manning the place and crashed into some tyres. I swear, when I say I'm scared I really am scared. I had palpitations after that and swore never to get a driver's license.
NEVER.
By the way this wasn't the reason why my holidays ended horribly haha. I hope I'm not that petty to feel like everything got ruined just because of a phobia of steering wheels.
Nevertheless, I hope you all had a great holiday. Really jealous of those who went to Europe. :(
